A delicious homemade recipe was the starting point for the company. In 1990, Maria Dalva Couto Mendonça, known as Mrs. Dalva, began selling her cheese rolls in a small shop in the state capital. The following year, Forno de Minas was transferred to an area of ??350 m², in Contagem, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. In 1995, the current manufacturing facility was inaugurated, located on 24,000 square meters of land, with 10,000 of built up area. In 1999 the company was sold to a U.S. company. Ten years later the founders re-acquired Forno de Minas. Currently, in addition to the domestic market, the company exports to the United States, Canada, Europe and South America.
